Interview Etiquette- Dressing to Impress
Interview Etiquette- Dressing to Impress
When interviewing there are a few things you must consider. First and foremost you should be conscientious of the company you are applying at. Try to learn their mission statement and about the position your applying for. Consider all these components and be well prepared. After this comes the hardest part.... What to wear! Here are my tips on dressing to impress.

Try to learn their mission statement and about the position your applying for. Consider all these components and be well prepared. After this comes the hardest part.... What to wear! Here are my tips on dressing to impress.
- Legs should be covered: Wear pants or if it is a skirt, make sure it falls below the knees and you should also consider wearing pantyhose.
- Arms should be covered: No tank-tops. Wear either a short sleeved or long sleeved shirt. If you do have a tank-top you are set on wearing, pair it was a professional blazer or clean-cut cardi.
- Stick to neutral colors or those that mimic the companies style. Avoid neon's, seasonal prints or busy patterns. If all else fails, try wearing a color incorporated in the companies logo.
- Last but not least, watch your feet! No flip-flops, no wedges or no sneakers. Wear flats or heels, these portray a business dynamic and ultimately make you look professional.

Coffee Filter Fun!
Coffee Filter Fun!
Coffee filters are cheap and available at any grocery store
and they aren’t just good for making a cup of Joe, but they can also be used to
add a feminine flare to your décor! I used coffee filters to make a cute, soft
looking lampshade.
First I started with a hand-me-down lamppost. It was
originally a rusted brown finish; I sanded it down and spray-painted it
silver/gold; than I began making the lampshade.
To make the shade I used the following materials:
- White Vinyl (Mine is left-over fence, compliments of my Dad)
- Coffee filters cut into 8ths
- Hot Glue Gun
- Hot Glue Sticks
- Metal Screws
Now put all the materials together in the following order:
- Drill screws into each side of your Vinyl so that they hang on the metal frame that surrounds the actual light bulb itself
- Now wipe clean and dry your Vinyl
- Pre-cut your coffee filters into 8th’s
- Plug in your hot glue gun and have additional glue sticks on hand
- Than, starting at the top-left-hand corner begin applying the coffee filters
- Apply coffee filters by pinching each 8th piece at the center
- Next apply a dab of hot glue and push the center-twisted part onto the Vinyl
- Continue the process until each side of the lamp is completely covered

1 Pan, 1 Pot, 1 Dinner
1 Pan, 1 Pot, 1 Dinner
For an easy, yummy and healthy dinner try this dish. The best part is, it only takes 1 Pan and 1 Microwavable Pot to make, so clean up is easy!
1.) In a pan, bring water to boil... Once boiling add spaghetti noodles.
2.) As noodle are boiling, begin to cook the following frozen vegetables in your Microwavable Pot:
3.) By the time your vegetables are finished cooking, your noodles should be as well.
4.) Now drain your noodles and leave in your pan. Than Add:
*I always add a lot of soy sauce and garlic powder.*
5.) Next, add your vegetables into the pan and mix. ----Or----- Add your noodles into the pot with the vegetables.
It's finished!...And should looks something like the picture below. Again, use your intuition to determine the amounts of boodles, vegetables and seasonings. This dish is very healthy and very simple with little clean-up, so be enjoy your work and eat-up!
